Russia managed to achieve some of the Millennium Development Goals, set by the UN in 2000.
According to Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the country reduced child mortality and improved maternal health.
He explained that during the last quarter century maternal mortality rate in Russia has dropped significantly.
