Russian Deputy Minister of Transport, Nikolai Zakhryapin, and Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation, Sherif Fathi, met in Moscow on Friday to discuss the process of approving a draft agreement between the two countries' governments on cooperation in providing civil aviation safety, the Russian Transport Ministry said.
The meeting was held in the run-up of the Russian Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov's working visit to Egypt to discuss with the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation security and resumption of flights between Russia and Egypt.
