Russia and Georgia increase trade turnover

Trade turnover between Georgia and Russia in January-May 2022 increased by 28% compared to last year and amounted to $764.2 mln, while exports from Georgia to Russia fell by 0.4%, the Georgian National Statistics Service Sakstat informs.

Russia ranks third among Georgia's foreign trade partners, the share of trade between the countries amounted to 11% of the overall foreign trade for five months of this year.

In January-May 2022, 31,800 tons of mineral and fresh water, 38,000 tons of ferroalloys, 17,100 tons of natural grape wine, and 14,000 tons of carbonated drinks were exported from Georgia to Russia.
