Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin held talks with Georgian prime minister’s envoy for relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze in Prague yesterday.
Following the meeting, Karasin said that Russia and Georgia plan to reach the trade turnover of $1 billion.
He added that trade between Russia and Georgia has jumped up by 33% in the past eight months.
"We have very good trade statistics for the past eight months of the current year. Trade has grown by 33%," the minister stressed.
