Russia and India signs $5 billion S-400 missile deal

Russia signed a deal with India to supply five regiments of S-400 anti-aircraft missiles to India, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The contract was signed during President Vladimir Putin’s trip to India, TASS reported.

Ahead of the visit, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said that as a result of the deal "India will have a modern air defense system boasting parameters that surpass those of similar systems of other countries," adding that the missile deal would be worth more than $5 billion.
