The Russian and Iranian Foreign Ministers, Sergey Lavrov and Mohammad Javad Zarif, have agreed to strengthen cooperation to ensure stability and security in the Middle East.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Lavrov informed Zarif about a meeting with the US Secretary of State and the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Turkey held in Vienna yesterday and dedicated to the Syrian crisis.
In addition, the heads of the departments agreed on further strengthening cooperation between the two countries to ensure stability and security in the Middle East, Gazeta.ru reports.
