Moscow and Tehran signed a contract for the construction of railcars, the Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi said on the sidelines of the transport conference in the Iranian capital.
According to him, the contract involves the production of 20 thousand freight cars and one thousand passenger car, RIA Novosti reported.
The minster earlier said that Iran was in contract with Russia for 6,800 train wagons for carrying cargo most of which will be manufactured inside the country.
