Moscow and Tehran have agreed on cooperation in the field of aircraft engines and gas turbines. Deputy Defense Minister Manouchehr Mantega told about the conclusion of the corresponding agreements.
"We plan to carry out joint projects in the fields of design, production and promotion platform for a new generation of engines for further economic exploitation," RIA Novosti cites him as saying.
Mantega noted that Iran can become a major market for Russian engines, as well as help to improve the production of gas turbine engines.
The agreement was signed during the visit of the Iranian delegation at MAKS-2015, which was organized in Zhukovsky in the Moscow region.
