Kazakhstan will participate in designing Russian super-heavy lift launch vehicle at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan (Kazkosmos) said.
Creation of the super-heavy class space rocket complex is foreseen at the Baikonur among major space projects of Kazakhstan and Russia according to the approved conceptual framework of further cooperation, RIA Novosti reported.
Kazakhstan also plans together with Russia to create an ultra-light rocket to launch small satellites and to start production of rocket spare parts at Baikonur Cosmodrome.
Russia is designing a super-heavy lift rocket. The Rocket and Space Corporation Energia is the main designer of the rocket. The design is due by late 2019. The first start of the rocket was scheduled for 2028. The super-heavy rocket will be used for space flights to the Moon or the Mars.
