US State Department spokesman John Kirby stated that during a telephone conversation between the US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the sides have urged all parties of the conflict in Syria to make serious efforts to comply with the truce.
At the same time, he pointed out that the sides welcomed the constructive dialogue on the line of International Group for Syria, and made it clear that all parties continue to closely monitor the situation and assess reports from the field.
"They also reaffirmed their commitment to the implementation of cessation of hostilities and delivery of necessary humanitarian assistance to cities across Syria," RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
