Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relations' establishment and expressed hope for further strengthening of partnership and alliance between the two countries.
"I am convinced that we will continue to strengthen the Russian-Uzbek strategic partnership and alliance in every possible way. This undoubtedly meets the interests of our friendly peoples, goes in line with ensuring peace and stability in Central Asia", the telegram published on the Kremlin's website says.
The Russian leader stressed that over the past decades, Russia and Uzbekistan have accumulated significant experience in cooperation in all spheres, have established constructive interaction within the CIS and SCO and coordinate efforts to counter threats and challenges within the framework of regional security.
At the end of his congratulations, Vladimir Putin wished well-being and prosperity to all citizens of Uzbekistan.
