Russian pilots in Syria have repeatedly cancelled air strikes on the terrorists of the Islamic State organization, because they were hiding among civilians, representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Andrey Kartapolov said.
"We had to cancel planned strikes on militants more than once for the sole reason that the terrorists, apparently, after receiving information about the take-off of aircraft, left their bases and camps. In doing so, they usually hid in populated areas and near religious institutions," TASS quoted him as saying.
