Russia close to resuming flights to Georgia

Russia and Georgia are close to resuming direct flights, as well as abolishing entry visas, head of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Kalashnikov said.

The MP noted that the resumption of air traffic and the abolition of entry visas in Russia are very important issues on the agenda. "We are close to these decisions," Kalashnikov said during the economic forum decicated to the prospects for the development of economic relations between Russia and Georgia.

So far, it's hard to talk about any dates, but such a need is long overdue, the MP added.
