Russian federal budget deficit for H1 is 889.3 billion rubles, Russian Deputy Finance Minister Tatyana Nesterenko said.
In January-May, this figure was 1.05 trillion rubles, or 3.7% of GDP. The income fell by 7% in comparison with the same period last year. "Expenses for the first half of the decade are close to 50% of the overall cost of the federal budget," Interfax cited Nesterenko as saying.
According to her, the Ministry of Finance is expecting federal budget deficit in 2015 at 3% of GDP.
