The representative of the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on the Air Force, Colonel Igor Klimov, stated that to prepare the infrastructure of the Hmeymim airfield in Syria, military transport aviation and Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation transferred nearly 14 thousand tons of cargo there.
According to him, the crews of IL-76 and AN-124 'Ruslan' made more than 280 air sorties and transported 13 thousand 750 tons of cargo, RIA Novosti reports.
