Russia has no information that the intermediate-range ballistic missiles, launched by Iran, may contain nuclear warheads,'' Russia's permanent representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin said today following the results of a closed meeting of the Security Council.
"Russia doesn't have the information that they are designed with nuclear weapons,'' the diplomat said, noting that Moscow doesn't consider the missiles launched by Iran to be a violation of resolution 2231, as it doesn't impose a direct ban on such activities, but only urges Tehran to refrain from them. In addition, the resolution contains information about missiles with nuclear warheads,'' the permanent representative of the Russian Federation said, Tass reports.
