Dmitry Peskov, spokesman of the Russian president, said that the Kremlin hoped for swift resolution of the situation in Yerevan, TASS reports.
In his words, the Kremlin was closely monitoring the developments in Yerevan and expected settlement of the conflict according to the law.
The police cracked down on the protesters at the center of Yerevan this morning. Residents were protesting against higher prices for electricity that will be imposed on them on August 1.
