The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that Russia is holding constructive discussions with Japanese companies, which, in turn, create a good environment for political dialogue.

Speaking about the development of the Kuril Islands, whose territorial affiliation Tokyo disputes, Dvorkovich emphasized the fact that it is planned to create a new type of economic zone in the region, and that the Russian authorities are interested in attracting Japanese and other foreign companies to the development of the region.

In addition, he informed that for carrying out the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Japan, the Russian authorities need to achieve significant agreements between the countries in the field of economic cooperation.
