Russian imports of Turkish oranges fell to near‑zero in August, with shipments worth just $10, down from $89,600 in July, according to Turkish customs data.
Despite the collapse in late‑summer purchases, Russia's spending on Turkish oranges rose 4% year‑on‑year in January–August, totalling $14.4 million.
Iraq, Germany, and Azerbaijan were the main buyers in August, with Iraq accounting for nearly 90% of export, RIA Novosti reports.
