The cost of preparation for the World Cup in Russia in 2018 may be increased by 4.7 billion rubles ($79.1 mln). The spending may be increased by using the funds from the federal budget.
According to a draft government resolution, published on the official portal of legal information, the costs will increase from 638.84 billion rubles ($10.7 bln) to 643.55 billion rubles ($10.8 bln).
The current draft document envisages the following breakdown of costs: 350.45 billion rubles ($5.9 bln) will be allocated from the federal budget, 92.21 billion rubles ($1.5 bln) from regional budgets, and 196.18 billion rubles ($3.3 bln) will be granted by legal entities, TASS reported.
