Russian Ministry of Defense has begun preparations for demining the Syrian city of Palmyra. The statement was made today by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the commission on military-technical cooperation.
"I have already had a conversation with Sergey Shoigu and I know that you have already started training after our meeting today. I ask the Minister of Defence to report that is planned in the near future and how you will organize the work of demining Palmyra,'' Tass cites the head of state as saying.
