Russia is open to the restoration of full-scale dialogue with NATO on the basis of equality, trust and constructiveness, Russian Chief of General Staff Gen. Valery Gerasimov said at the 6th Moscow conference on international security.
"We intend to continue the practice of inviting representatives of military agencies of NATO countries and the alliance’s bodies of military governance to take part in events organized by the Russian Defense Ministry. We are open to restoration of full-scale dialogue and interaction with the North Atlantic union. The main thing is that this process takes place on an equal, trusting and constructive basis," Sputnik cited Gerasimov as saying.
According to Gerasimov, the Russian side proposed steps to improve cooperation with NATO at last year’s NATO-Russia Council. He added that the proposals were ignored.
