According to official statistics over the past day, another 11,985 people have become infected with the coronavirus in Russia. Moscow remains the leader in incidence.
In the Russian capital, 2,015 people were diagnosed with COVID per day, 1,193 new cases were registered in St. Petersburg, and 279 people fell ill in the Moscow region. In Krasnodar, 215 residents were tested COVID-positive, 316 patients were diagnosed with the virus in the Stavropol Territory, while 59 people fell ill in the Crimea. In Dagestan, 14 people fell ill per day, the same number of new infections is in Kabardino-Balkaria. In Adygea, 20 detected cases of the disease were reported, in Karachay-Cherkessia there were 16 infected. In North Ossetia, there were 30 cases and 5 cases in Ingushetia. Not a single case of coronavirus infection was detected in Chechnya per day.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 22,423,093 cases of COVID have been registered in Russia. 11,218 people coped with the disease per day, in total, the number of people recovered is 21,770,130. In 24 hours, 758 patients were sent to Russian hospitals for treatment. 37 people died per day, while in total, 396,586 died from coronavirus.
