Russia’s coronavirus cases rose by 15,019 to 3,998,216 in the past day, the anti-coronavirus crisis center said on Tuesday.
According to data from the crisis center, the coronavirus growth rate is below 0.4%.
Another 1,584 coronavirus cases were recorded in Moscow in the past 24 hours; a total of 947,036 people in the Russian capital have been infected so far.
The authorities reported 1,728 COVID-19 cases a day earlier. According to the crisis center, the daily growth rate stands at 0.17%.
Another 3,554 patients recovered in the past 24 hours, 73 people died. So far, 854,725 people have recovered and 14,031 have died. Currently, 78,280 continue treatment.
Meanwhile, another 1,078 coronavirus cases were confirmed in St. Petersburg, that’s the lowest number since November 4. The city's medical workers confirmed 1,551 new cases a day earlier. Another 3,739 patients recovered in the past 24 hours, while 61 patients died. To date, 253,115 have recovered from the disease in Russia's second largest city while the overall fatalities amounted to 10,183.
In particular, 1,078 coronavirus cases were identified in St. Petersburg in the past 24 hours, 903 in the Moscow region, 457 in the Nizhny Novgorod region, 369 in the Voronezh region and 356 in the Rostov region.
The number of overall active cases has dropped to 426,732, the lowest since November 8, TASS reported.
