The anti-coronavirus crisis center reports that 29.2 thousand cases of the disease have been detected in Russia. It's a maximum since December 13.
"In the last 24 hours in Russia, there have been 29,230 confirmed cases of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in 85 regions, including 4,162 (14.2%) active cases without clinical manifestations", the headquarters informs.
Most of the new cases were detected in Moscow - 6,480, in St. Petersburg - 3,958 (the maximum since the beginning of the pandemic), in the Moscow region - 3,147 (maximum since November 8). There are 655 new cases in Krasnodar Territory, 475 in Stavropol Territory, 161 in Dagestan, 139 in Crimea, 82 in Chechnya, 81 in Kabardino-Balkaria, 72 in North Ossetia, 72 in Adygea, 69 in Ingushetia , in Karachay-Cherkessia - 61.
The daily increase was 0.27%, the total number of infected people in Russia reached 10,803,534 people.
Over the past 24 hours, 22,731 people have been discharged after recovery and 686 patients with coronavirus died.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of people discharged from hospitals reached 9,858,615 people, while the number of deaths reached 321,320 people.
