Russia records 9,371 daily COVID cases

Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 9,371 over the past day to 22,689,110, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Thursday. A day earlier, 8,636 daily cases were recorded.

As many as 1,155 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, down 10.7% from a day earlier. The number of hospitalized patients increased in 34 regions, while in 43 regions the figure decreased. The situation remained unchanged in eight regions. A day earlier, 1,294 people were rushed to hospitals.

Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 1,589 over the past day versus 1,519 cases a day earlier, reaching 3,485,255, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 862 over the past day versus 947 a day earlier, reaching 1,923,507.

Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 10,879 over the past day, reaching 22,060,308. A day earlier some 11,807 patients recovered.

Russia’s COVID-19 death toll rose by 39 over the past day, reaching 397,459. A day earlier 36 COVID-19 deaths were registered.
