Russia records 9,826 daily COVID cases

Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 9,826 over the past day to 22,093,549, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Tuesday.

A day earlier, 11,006 daily cases were recorded.

As many as 1,662 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, up 173.4% from a day earlier. The number of hospitalized patients decreased in ten regions, while in 70 regions the figure increased. The situation remained unchanged in five regions. A day earlier, 608 people were rushed to hospitals.

Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 1,862 over the past day versus 2,403 cases a day earlier, reaching 3,383,249, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 1,203 over the past day versus 1,326 a day earlier, reaching 1,860,098.

Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 10,420 over the past day, reaching 21,449,598. A day earlier some 6,484 patients recovered.

Russia’s COVID-19 death toll rose by 35 over the past day, reaching 395,616. A day earlier 30 COVID-19 deaths were registered.
