A total of 19,238 new COVID-19 cases were registered in Russia in the past 24 hours, bringing the total case count to 3,813,048, the coronavirus prevention anti-crisis center announced Friday.
The case growth rate in the past 24 hours was 0.51%, the statistics say.
In particular, 2,284 cases were registered in St. Petersburg, 1,044 - in the Moscow Region, 471 - in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 378 - in the Voronezh Region, and 377 - in the Rostov Region.
Currently, 485,401 patients remain in hospitals in Russia, TASS reported.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Moscow grew by 2,799 in the past 24 hours reaching 925,358.
The growth rate stands at 0.3%. Moscow reported 2,897 COVID-19 cases a day earlier.
Another 63 coronavirus patients died in the past 24 hours. In total, 13,300 people (1.44% of those infected) have died in the city since the start of the pandemic.
Meanwhile, 6,180 patients recovered from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, with a total of 803,642 recoveries reported so far. Currently, 108,416 people in Moscow continue treatment.
