Russia has documented 17,648 cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, which is the lowest figure since October 28, 2020. The overall case count has reached 3,868,087, the anti-coronavirus crisis center said on Monday.
The lowest increase rate has been documented in the Tuva Republic (0.1%), the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region, the Jewish Autonomous Region, the Magadan Region, the Chechen Republic, the Altai Republic and Moscow (0.2%).
The number of coronavirus cases in Moscow grew by 2,037 in the past 24 hours. A total of 932,109 people have been infected in the Russian capital so far.
According to the crisis center, the growth rate stands at 0.22%. Another 2,284 cases were reported a day earlier. Sixty-one coronavirus patients died in the past 24 hours, a total of 13,495 people have died by now.
Meanwhile, 4,883 patients recovered in Moscow in the past 24 hours, with 819,611 people recovering since the start of the epidemic. Currently, 99,003 patients in the Russian capital continue treatment.
In the past 24 hours, 1,842 cases have been documented in St. Petersburg, 1,068 in the Moscow Region, 468 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 373 in the Voronezh Region, 372 in the Rostov Region.
Currently, there are 476,295 active COVID-19 cases in Russia, TASS reported.
