Russia reports more than 13,400 daily COVID-19 cases

Russia’s COVID-19 case tally grew by 13,433 in the past day to 4,139,031, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Friday.

In relative terms, the growth rate reached 0.33%.

The lowest growth rates were registered in the Tuva Republic (0.01%), the Magadan Region, the Jewish Autonomous Region, the Chechen Republic and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region (0.1%).

As many as 1,972 coronavirus cases were recorded in Moscow in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 964,609, the anti-coronavirus crisis center said on Friday.

According to data from the crisis center, the city’s coronavirus growth rate is 0.2%. A total of 1,950 coronavirus patients were identified on Thursday.

Moscow’s coronavirus recoveries rose by 2,112 to 880,767 in the past day. Fifty-three coronavirus deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, the lowest number since November 1. The city’s death toll has climbed to 14,631.

There are currently 69,211 active coronavirus cases in Moscow.

Some 1,087 daily COVID-19 cases were recorded in St. Petersburg, 687 in the Moscow Region, 416 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 341 in the Voronezh Region, 320 in the Rostov Region and 292 in the Samara Region.

Currently, 376,686 people are ill in Russia, TASS reported.
