Russia's Anna Korobeinikova becomes champion of World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling in Baku

Russia's Anna Korobeinikova became the first champion of the World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling in Baku: in tumbling women's program she showed the best result - 69,7 points after two exercises.

In an interview with with Vestnik Kavkaza Korobeinikova admitted that she is very happy with the result. "This is the first competition of this year, and I had a great beggining of the season," she said.

Athlete praised the level of organization of the tournament. "Everything was great, the competition was organized and held at the highest level, I really enjoyed it," she added.

Portugal's Raquel Pinto won the second place with 66 points.

"The tournament was very well organized. If I had questions, I could ask anyone, and everyone knew everything, they helped me. It's great. I'm in Baku for the first time and now I'm going to see the city," Raquel Pinto said.

The first World Cup in Trampoline and Tumbling of the new Olympic cycle takes place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on February 18-19. The competition is attended by 85 gymnasts from 15 countries. Their performances are evaluated under the new rules, which came into force in 2017. The qualifications are held on Febraury 18th, the finals will be held on February 19th.
