Before January 2019, Russia's Central Bank does not plan to resume foreign currency purchases on the domestic market for the Ministry of Finance, First Deputy Governor of the Central Bank Ksenia Yudaeva said.
She noted that the regulator will determine the mechanism of returning to the market in December. "We will not return to the market before January. We will assess how we will return to the market in December," TASS cited Yudaeva as saying.
The first deputy governor added that the central bank’s mission is not to guess which sanctions are to be imposed against Russia, but to develop a variety of tools to counter such moves.
