Russia's Finance Ministry said it would increase its daily purchases of foreign currency for state reserves to the equivalent of 11.5 billion rubles ($198.73 million) between April 6 and May 8.
The ministry said that total purchases for the upcoming period will be equivalent to 240.7 billion rubles, Reuters reported.
In the preceding period, between March 7 and April 5, the ministry's plan envisaged purchases of foreign currency in the amount of 192.5 billion rubles.
