Russia satisfied with Vienna format for Syrian settlement

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a meeting with UN envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura that Vienna format was almost a perfect format for a Syrian settlement. 

"We welcome the opportunity to exchange our views on how to advance the process. The Vienna format is almost a perfect format for multilateral efforts for a Syrian settlement and we want to anchor that," he stressed.

He added that Russia actively supports UN envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura's efforts in resolving the Syrian crisis.
