Russia has said its support for Syrian president Bashar al Assad is "not unconditional", President Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, Sky News reported.
In addition, he stressed that Russia demands to carry out a detailed investigation of the use of chemical weapons in the Syrian province of Idlib.
