Russia has begun the supplies of S-300 air defense systems to Iran. "The contract is in action," TASS cited the Russian presidential aide on military-technical cooperation, Vladimir Kozhin, as saying.
Iranian ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanai said that Iran has received the first S-300 systems in the end of November.
