Russia strengthens air defense in North Caucasus

The newest anti-aircraft missile system S-300V4 and air defense missile system Buk-M3 went to the air defense units of the Southern Military District in the North Caucasus, the head of the press service of the South-Eastern Military District Vadim Astafyev said.

"In the Southern Military District, air defense units equipped with the latest S-300B4 SAM and Buk-M3 missile defense system have come forward to guard the air border and strategically important facilities for combat duty," RIA Novosti cited Astafiev as saying.
