Russia to build first nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan

Russian President Vladimir Putin said during his visit to Kazakhstan that the countries have already begun to develop a common electricity market program.

“Programs are being developed to create a common electricity market of Russia and Kazakhstan. We are also preparing for construction of Kazakhstan’s first-ever nuclear power plant," the Russian leader said at a press conference following the meeting with Nursultan Nazarbayev.
