Russia will extend the reduced gas price for Armenia ($165 instead of $189 per 1000 cubic meters) till the end of March 2016: a draft intergovernmental protocol was approved at today's session of the Armenian government.
The signing of the protocol will contribute to the strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, maintaining favorable conditions for the development of economic ties, increasing business activity, NEWS.am reports.
The decision is made to compensate Gazprom Armenia's losses from the depreciation of the Armenian dram at the end of 2014 and to keep tariffs unchanged.
