Russia to simplify visa regime for Georgia starting from December 23

The Russian Foreign Ministry has announced that starting from December 23, visa regime for Georgian citizens will be simplified. At the same time, Moscow did not exclude the possibility that in the future there will be a visa-free regime between the two countries.

"In the context of the ongoing process of normalization of Russian-Georgian relations and in order to stimulate positive developments between the two countries, starting from December 23, 2015, the business, work, education and humanitarian visas of any multiplicity will be issued to citizens of Georgia, as well as private visas regardless of the presence of kinship between the inviter and the invitee on the actual invitation, issued in the prescribed manner by the Russian Federal Migration Service," - TASS cites Ministry's statement.
