Russia has urged the West and the Syrian opposition to concentrate on the fight against terrorism, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said today at a meeting with the head of the National Coalition of Opposition and Revolutionary Forces of Syria (NKORS), Khaled al-Hodge.
"We all have an interest in putting a barrier in the way of terrorism, everyone has an interest in a speedy political settlement of the crisis in Syria on the basis of the Geneva communique,’’ the minister noted.
‘‘The most important thing is that these interests were expressed in practical co-ordinated actions. I hope that our meeting will help to follow this aim," Tass cites him as saying.
