Russian Transport Minister, Maxim Sokolov, said today that closed skies over Ukraine as one of the anti-Russian sanctions will not affect the cost of flights to Europe for Russians, as almost no Russian flights fly over Ukraine after the crash of the Malaysian Boeing in Donbass.
"Today our airlines virtually don't fly over the territory of Ukraine, and respectively, Ukrainian companies are also not present in the transit space of Russia," Sokolov said on the Russia 1 TV channel.
