Today the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia published export statistics of tangerines, according to which 26.1 thousand tons of the fruit were sold abroad last year. 78.2% of them were supplied to Russia.
Ukraine is in the second place with 14.8% from the share of Georgian export of tangerines, then Armenia (3%), Azerbaijan (about 1%), Kazakhstan (1.7%) and Israel (0.93%).
According to Sputnik-Georgia, this year the service plans to deliver about 35,000 tons of tangerines abroad. In Russia. They will be exported via the Upper Lars checkpoint and the port of Batumi.
