The European champions in trio among seniors received awards at FIG European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships in Baku, a Vestnik Kavkaza special correspondent reports.
Hungarian gymnasts won gold (22.411 points). The Russian team – Elena Ivanova, Ekaterina Pykhtova, Anastasia Zubina – got silver medals (22.366 points). The third place was taken by Romania (22.133 points).
The National Gymnastics Arena in Baku welcomes FIG European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships for the first time. Athletes from 22 countries participate in the tournament. Juniors and seniors perform in individual exercises among men and women, mixed pairs, trio and groups, aerodance, as well as aerostep – only for seniors. There will also be winners in junior and senior team ratings. Athletes will compete for 15 sets of medals.
