Russian Central Bank expects 60 billion rubles to leave the country

In 2016 the outflow of capital from Russia is expected to be about 60 billion rubles, the head of the department of monetary policy of the Central Bank Igor Dmitriev said in an interview for RBC at the Gaidar Forum 2016, organized by RANHiGS and the Gaidar Institute.

"We do not expect significant capital outflow next year. Even under the risk scenario it will be comparable with 2015 – about 60 billion. According to the base scenario, it will be less,'' Tass cites him as saying.

The head of the department urged not to link the amount of capital outflow with the revocation of bank licenses. "The main factor is still the external debt service," Dmitriev said.
