Armenia announced the approximate amount of the debt due to which the broadcasting of Channel One was suspended in the Armenian multiplex.
The Russian Channel One is temporarily not working in Armenia only for financial reasons, the head of the Armenian Commission on Television and Radio, Tigran Hakobyan said.
“The Armenian TV and Radio Broadcasting Network has a contract with Channel One, under which the latter is obliged to cover the costs of coverage on a monthly basis,”
– the head of the commission said.
He explained that the amount is relatively small - about $3,000 per month, Sputnik Armenia reports. According to Hakobyan, Armenian channels pay a similar fee for broadcasting in Yerevan.
