Russian Defense Ministry to check troop support in Southern Military District

The Russian Defense Ministry will check the material and technical support of the troops of the Southern Military District, Russian Deputy Minister of Defense Dmitry Bulgakov said today.

"According to the decision of Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, the system of material and technical support of the troops will be checked in the Southern Military District. It will be the third check of this scale this year," Interfax cited Bulgakov as saying.

During the working trip, the Deputy Minister of Defense will inspect the military units stationed in Crimea, Dagestan, the Rostov Region and Kuban. The commission will also assess the combat and mobilization readiness of the units.

The audit is scheduled to be completed by July 7.
