The Russian Foreign Minister commented on Armenia's possible withdrawal from the CSTO. Sergey Lavrov emphasized that Yerevan had not yet sent the relevant documents, so this issue was not discussed at the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers.
"The answer is immediate: no. The procedure for Armenia's withdrawal from the CSTO was not discussed because no corresponding request had been received",
the Russian Foreign Minister said.
He added that the possible consequences of this step were also not discussed.
"As I already said, yes, today the Armenian minister was not present at the meeting, but there had been no document from Armenia or any official step that would have made it necessary to discuss the consequences",
the Foreign Minister of Russia said.
