Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that it will not be easy to solve the problem of the illegal armed presence of the United States on Syrian territory.
"Washington is constantly putting forward new conditions that violate the sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity of the SAR, despite the fact that these principles are enshrined in the main resolutions of the UN Security Council," Lavrov pointed out in an interview with Sputnik.
"Let's see how this 'withdrawal' from Syria, announced by President Donald Trump, will play out," the top Russian diplomat stressed.
On December 19, U.S. President Donald Trump declared that the U.S. has won against the ISIS terror group operating in Syria and made the announcement he was bringing home all U.S. forces from the war-torn country.
