Russian Foreign Ministry does not see conditions for meeting of Russian and Georgian presidents

A meeting of the leaders of Russia and Georgia is possible, but the conditions for it have not emerged yet, the State Secretary, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin stated today, after a meeting with Special Representative of the Georgian Prime Minister for relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze in Prague.

"Contacts at the highest level remain on the table. But so far they are quite problematic because such contacts imply the absence of hostile rhetoric from both sides, first of all, in our address, which the representatives of Georgian government, including the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, periodically allow themselves," TASS quoted Karasin as saying.
